Pilates is a unique form of exercise based on the original repertoire of Joseph Pilates. This refreshing and energising workout aims to improve the body's structure through gentle but focused exercise, rewarding you with a leaner body, more poise, and greater confidence.

It improves posture and increases flexibility by strengthening your core weaker muscles and stretching out the overused ones thereby balancing and realigning the body. It is beneficial for those with general back and shoulder pain and can also be used by pregnant women as a great way to stay in shape before and after pregnancy due to its emphasis on a core-stability and controlled breathing.

Mina Stephens, former director of The Westbourne Studio, has over 20 years experience of Pilates both in New York and London. Mina is certified to train here in London with the Pilates Foundation.
