Wing Chun Kung Fu is a dynamic, practical martial art based on simplicity and economy of movement.  The practice teaches a technique of flowing with the opponent utilising simultaneous attack and defence.

Benefits from the practice are both physical and mental:

  • It is an effective self-defence system that does not rely on strength
  • Improves self-confidence
  • Assists concentration and ability to focus
  • Improves co-ordination, timing and balance

Wing Chun uses a unique method of partner training called 'Chi Sau' or 'sticking hands'.  Chi Sau instructs pupils how to deflect, control and trap an opponent's hands.

Richard trained in martial arts from an early age and has been teaching in the UK for seven years.  He trained in Wing Chun under Grandmaster Ip Ching in Hong Kong at the Ving Tsun Athletic Association.
